Hello Dave, Hoop you are fine I wish you a peaceful retirement Now you have full time to complete your genealogical tree ( if I do not confuse) See you Pourmehr
While I am personally sorry to hear that you are leaving us, I am sure that for you the best is yet to come! Thank you for the flights we shared, the great times we had together in outstations, and most of all your support and leadership as a Captain! May your retirement be sweet, fulfilling and enjoyable!
Hi Dave, What an unfortunate, but understandable decision you had to make to resign. I hope you will find a better balance without this gruesome commuting. I think a lot about the experiences I had flying with captains in the past. And I must say that you were a big example for me in my present functioning as a captain B737. You tutored me in important traits like patience, kindness and pragmatism. Enjoy the beginning of your new life and love your family. Your FO
It has been a true pleasure to have shared your wings on the Jumbolino :-) You are a true gentleman, leading by example. I wish you only the very best for your retirement. Sincerely
Dear Dave, When I joined the company, just re-named TNT Airways, in 2000, you were already flying the 146 in the British team. We, the new belgian first officers, had to adapt to the British mentality, but you had adapt to us as well. We improved very quickly our english level, whilst we teached you the way belgians shake hands to say "good morning". ( What a regression in these covid times ! ) Then followed a lot of sharing, eg I remember this "Tie knot course" we received one night in the crewroom, so we could have the look ! I found a picture of one of our charter flight taken in August 2001 (!) Yes, in these days, we could fly Formula 1 from Farnborough to Budapest. I'm not on the picture, as I don't need jeers from young colleagues... It has been a pleasure and an honour to fly with you, and to grow up as a pilot in such a good environnement. Enjoy your next " career " and have a tought about us when you'll see one of our planes passing by. Cheers PY
It was a great honour to have flown with you. I'll keep all of your great tips for the remainder of my career. You will be missed. Now it’s time to relax and enjoy your retirement. Enjoy your time, your family and do whatever you like. All the best.
Hi Dave So I hear that corona did help in your decision huh? At least it did a good thing :-)! Congratulations for taking the step … it is never an easy decision! Time to write a new chapter in your life …time to take the time to enjoy every moment with your loved ones! It has been a real pleasure to meet you… a true gentleman…easygoing but so professional! All the best … Best regards
